Can you convert self extracting .exe files to normal .zip files?

Hi guys, Just wondering if there is a program/method to convert .exe files to .zip files?

Right click on desktop,new,compressed folder,drag and drop it in their.The end.For any more help click [link=http://www.google.com]here[/link]

I believe if you open the self extracting exe in winzip it will show you the contents. You can then copy them out to a regular folder somewhere, and then add them to a regular zip file.
