Virginia Tech
May our prayers and thoughts be with your college in this time of tragedy. May our prayers and thoughts be with the 32 innocent victims and their families.

RE: Virginia Tech
Indeed. I have a few friends that were there at the time. My neighbor was eating in the cafeteria and heard shots, and later found out that his best friend was in a room or two over from the main shooting, and was one of the people who jumped out of the window. It was a two story window, and luckily he was alright. Even though it was an isolated incident, it's still scary to hear about.

RE: Virginia Tech
My prayer is for 32 innocent students and faculty members who lost their lives and 33 sets of parents who I am praying for tonight. Cho Sueng-Hiu must have had a hatred for his parents that I cannot comprehend because he assured that the remainder of their lives will be an unmitigated hell.

RE: Virginia Tech
The Cho parents thought about killing themselves. I only hope more condolences will be done than hatred and harrassment.

Ya know, it's so sad - for the ones left behind. Culture shock 150%. Welcome to the real world, dear children. Wake-up call to harsh reality.
The boy/girlfriend you talked to not an hour earlier. The prom date what will never be. The son who will never graduate. The daughter who will never fill Mom's wedding dress. The children who will never be born. The phone message never answered. The argument never resolved. The "I love you" never said. "Bye, Mom" was REALLY final, I guess... So suddenly, so unexpectedly, so needlessly...the ones left behind - suffer the most, need us the most. It's final and can't be changed. The consequence of the action is permanent. The living must go on living and learn to cope. The grieving is not begun yet, everyone is still in shock. Counselors will be busy in the coming months. I hope the survivors can find some peace and sense in the midst of the carnage. The family of the shooter - what must be spinning through their minds? Their world is suddenly chaos. Arrest people for their thoughts? Yes, it must be. Only thoughts are dangerous. Intent creates action. A gun without thought never killed anyone. Motive is in the mind. "There's a killer on the road His brain is squirming like a toad Take a long holiday Let your children play If you give this man a ride Sweet family will die... Riders on the storm." "Into this house we're born. Into this world we're thrown." Cry for the children. |

ORIGINAL: Dr1Driver Ya know, it's so sad - for the ones left behind. Culture shock 150%. Welcome to the real world, dear children. Wake-up call to harsh reality. Their world is suddenly chaos. "Into this house we're born. Into this world we're thrown." EDIT: THE TERM "YOU" herein means anyone reading the post not specifically DR. Yes, that about says it all. What happens as you hear about a Car-Bomb killing another 100 people somewhere way off across an ocean almost each day? Do you even give it a second thought? It could well be happening here. What about those hundreds of fine patriotic young soldiers that our government jerks up and sends over there to face an enemy that is ready to die for its cause? Our young soldiers are restricted to having to be under fire before being allowed to defend themselves. [:@] No big bleeding hearts here really weeping for those fine young men and women. Sure we hear about those that don't come back alive. What is being done about it? This country lost its will to win a war after August 1945. We have laost every one since and we are still losing again because of the most corrupt government since the Roman Empire. Even for VT the news reporting consists of mostly just some idiot publicity-seeking politicians and reporters bellowing about someone having a gun. Well if a few more had had a gun maybe a few more would have been alive today. [>:] That is one reason why I carry one, or have one close by. If something exists, and someone wants it, whatever it is, it can be had if one has the ability to pay for it and handle it, no matter what. Guns are cheap and easily obtainable. Yes I know that very well. Yes, I do feel the pain for those that have to suffer because our degenerative society simply cannot make people be responsible for their crimes. |

Um no polictics or religion in these forums, and last time we were in an official war declared by congress was WWII, and we won the Gulf War.

ORIGINAL: DEFORCER Um no polictics or religion in these forums, and last time we were in an official war declared by congress was WWII, and we won the Gulf War. Respectfully, Deforcer WOW! YEP Sonny. And if you don't remember when that war was it was between Dec. 7 1941 (July 7 1937 China/ Japan and Sep. 01 '39 Ger. invades Poland) for the United States and Aug 1945 when the US nuked the japanese (The war ended in Europe on May 8, 1945 with the unconditional surrender of Germany, and later in Asia on September 2, 1945 with the unconditional surrender of Imperial Japan.) UNCONDITIONAL Surrender - that is winning a war. Nothing else. [>:] Who surrendered unconditionally in the Gulf War? Doesn't take much to fool you does it? _ell sonny, we didn't even win the Great War. Everyone just got tired and went home. They called it an armistice; a temporary suspension of hostilities by agreement between the opponents. And temporary it was. |
