Default Savox servos for Profile Pro Yak V3???.

Hi all I'm thinking of getting one of these profiles as I have a new YS 45 FS sitting around and thinking of using a Jett muffler or Performance Specialities muffler to boost it up.

Also want to try out some Savox servos and don't have a clew for which servo to look for!!.

I want a nice torque and fast servo for this Yak,I think any HV servo for this plane is overkill so just want a digital and could be MG.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Best regards.
Greg.

I have been using 1251MG's on 40-60 size profiles. Very fast and good centering and holding power.

Hi Thumbs thanks for the quick reply they sure must be some awesome servos but was looking for a better priced servo like $40 max but will defenitly take a closer look at these I have a rc touring car too maybe I could use these on it later.

Will be the YS45 2s a good match for the Yak with the tuned muffler??.

Money is never wasted on good servos. Servos that are not taxed to their limit will outlast several airframes.
Second choice for a 40 size budget servo IMO is the JR/Spektrum DS821.
An a123 1100mAh unregulated is the best choice IMO for RX and servo power at this size airframe.

No experience with that engine. It's not about top end power with a 3D machine. You spend most of your time under 1/2 throttle.
My favorite and IMO the best two stroke for a 40 size (under 5lb.) profile is 55AX with 13x4.
This engine has the best throttle response and powerband.

Others I've tried:
Webra 50 - good super light engine.
OS 50SX - best 50 size with great power.
OS 46FX and AX Just don't have the low end grunt to get you out of trouble quickly.
TT46 - same as above.

Hi Thumbs thanks for the detailed feedback very helpfull and interesting,I went to my local hobby shop and they have the DS 821 High Voltage servos, very nice and good priced.

I was looking on the Savox site and found the Savox SH 1250 MG,they are micro servos weigh only 29 grams with a speed of .11s and have a torque of 63 oz at 6 volts.

I think if you want some powerfull, light and fast servos for the Yak these seem very promising!!.

Thumbs do you think they can be used on the yak?.

I think the 821's at 72oz are minimum especially on the rudder.
Being a full size servo it will probably be a more durable gear train.
