Default YS 91 FZ for 65" YAK Profile?

OK, I saw a club members YAK fly last night with the OS 91 FX and a 16-4W APC, and now I want one.

I have a YS 91 FZ new in the box, I am wondering how will the YS 91 FZ compare to the OS 91 FX on this airplane. I ask because I see that you sell YS and have an OS on your YAK. What is the difference RPM wise on the same prop?

Thanks,

WOOD

Good question but I'm not a 4-stroke guy. Anybody else chime in here? You may want to also post this question on the regular fun fly forum as it's really a question of how that engine performs.

The 91 FZ would be perfect for this plane. Has more power then the OS 91 for sure as I have them both on planes. Not sure of the RPM's however I will find out.

I have had an OS 91 fx and a YS 91 AC and I would say If you put a preformance muffler on the OS they are about the same in power.
The YS 91 should be a good choice. I liked the OS 91fx on mine OK but went 4 stroke (saito 120) to get some extra torque out of it

thanks,

I think I am going to either build one, or if the ARFs are light, buy one of those.

What about a Saito .91? I know that they don't have the power of the YS, but I have one laying around and am looking for a plane to put it on. Would it be enough to fly the 65" Yak with enough authority?

My only experience with Saito .91 was on a UCANDO. It weighed more then the 65" Yak and had plenty of unlimited.
