Ok, sorry for the delays but we try to get on about once per day, sometimes more to answer questions. Hitec are great servos and I use a lot of those as well. I've got 945 servos on all five surfaces and they are awesome. Super fast and tons of power on 6v packs. I think your choices would be way more than adequate since the digitals have even more power than the coreless versions. For instance the 945 has 151 in-oz of torque while the 5945 has up to 180 in-oz. Big difference. All three varieties you list are essentially the same servo and only trade off speed for torque via different gear trains. So bottom line is 150 in-oz of torque seems to be the top end of what the plane requires. Any more just means even quicker response on the surfaces.

I'm using Hitec 5645 for rudder and 5625's for Ailerons and Elevators. Running a 3000mAH Lion with a 5.8 volt voltage regulator. MVVS 2.15 and tuned pipe for power. I wanted to put the servo battery in the wing but had to put something like 6 oz in the tail. Instead, I moved the battery way back near the elevator servo on the left side. I put the ignition and receiver switches on the top above the two compartments.

The servos are cheap ($53 LHS), fast, and powerful at 5.8 volts.
