Katana 46 & Thunder Tiger pro46 prop?
Howdy, I ordered a Katana 46 today and also received a Thunder tiger 46 pro today from Hobby Lobby Seems I read somewhere here that an APC 11.5x4 was a good prop for this combo. I can't find the thread now and was wondering if my memory is correct. Is this the right prop or would a 12x4 be better??

Bass1, Both of those props would be fine on the TT 46. I have even used a 11x4 before. Seems like sometimes pending the day I will use any of the three. I would get a couple of each, try them and see what one you like the best for your flying style.

RE: Katana 46 & Thunder Tiger pro46 prop?
I've tried everything including 11x4, 11.5x4W, 12x4, 12.25x3.75 and the hands-down winner (on my Kat40 with TT46Pro) is the 12x4.
The 11.5x4W and the 12.25x3.75 are too heavy. They take a *lot* longer to spool up and start delivering useful thrust than the 12x4 when you need to get out of trouble.
All my TT46-powered profiles have 12x4 props on them now and they perform *very* well.
Every now and then I wonder if I was wrong and try another 11.5x4W or 12.25x3.75 "just in case". The next flight I find myself switching straight back to the good old 12x4 though :-)
Oh and if you haven't already, replace the stock TT46Pro muffler with a Tower muffler (or the three-part GMS 47 muffler that looks the same). It's like running another 10% nitro!
