I bought a aerofly pro deluxe about a month ago from OMP. When we tryed to set it up in my PC we found out that the interface cable sent with the AFPD was a easyfly 2 cable and wont work with AFPD. We barrowed a interface cable from a friend and it worked fine. I had to send the cable back to Ikarus and they should of got it three weeks ago. I have still not got a new cable, email or phone call back from Ikarus. I know this is not a OMP problem and I have alwas been happy OMPs service but was woundering if anyone else has ran into this problem. The cable I got did not have a yellow band on the USB plug but when you pluged it in it would come up as easyfly2 not aerofly pro under game countrolers. As of right now my new AFPD is useless and if Ikarus wont send me a new interface cable Im just out the money I spent for AFPD. Im not trying to bad mouth Ikarus Just trying to find out if anyone elce has ran into this and hope Ikarus will stand behind there product. Thanks Steve

Wow, I've NEVER heard of an easyfly cable being included with the sim. I can't understand how something like that would happen by Ikarus as the production lines are totally different and the packages are all factory sealed. Regardless did you talk to Ikarus over the phone prior to shipping it back to them? Did you include a note or letter to them so there was no confusion? Keep me in the loop and I'll jump in to help anyway I can.

I did finaly get my interface cable back from Ikarus today. It just took a long time to get it back, (I thought) but they did replace it. Rajul on the RCU / Aerofly fourm was a BIG help in finding the problem and yes we did call and talk to Ikarus before sending it back. Any way I am up and flying now but did want to put this info out there incase someone elce would run into this problem trying to get a new interface cable to work. I cant belive the cable I got was the only bad one. Thanks Steve

Awesome. I'm glad they got the issue resolved. You probably had a one in a million case having the wrong interface cable. Anyway glad you are up and running.
