I have a GWS corsair with the stock 350 motor. I have read that the CG should be set forward of the recommended value. What is the best CG point from the leading edge of the wing for STABLE flight. I just want the best chance of flying the thing around until I get used to it then I may try to change things since I am not that experienced and do not have access to skilled flyers to teach me. I would appreciate any input on this. Thank you.

Abearcat,
I fly mine at 53mm back from leading edge.
No landing gear, no ailerons.
Check your lateral balance as well.
Mine is flying fine although I would do ailerons instead of rudder if I were to do another.
good flying

Just follow instructions as far as CG goes. I have 4 GWS planes and they all fly well with reccommended settings. No matter what you put on it stick with what the book says for CG and you will be fine.

I fly mine at 60mm from leading edge. Better a little nose heavy because you can a least control the airplane. Tail heavy can spell disaster because it will fly very eratic.
