Default Need help assembling Slow Stick

Okay, I listened to you guys and got a Slow Stick today! While looking at the first step in the manual "Fixed tail Installation" I noticed it says to use long transparent tape stick. My Slow Stick ARF kit did not include this.. should I use some clear shipping tape instead? Then I noticed "Disassembled Tail Installation". Are these two type of installation types different? Should I only do one or the otheR?

Thanks

Packing tape will work better than the stuff they give you, and yes, the tail gets perminently mounted to the boom, but then you can cut the boom right infront of the tail to make it removable with the little black rectangle piece and 2 screws. i would personally leave it one piece since its not a big plane anyway.

Hope i helped

The clear tape is on the same sheet as the decals. You will see long clear strips about 1 inch wide. They are not marked clearly but they are there.

Buy a roll of 1" wide Straping tape ( the one with fiberglass strands in it)

Buy a roll of 2" or 2 1/2" Straping tape ( the one with fiberglass strands in it)

These items are your 2 best friends when building the Slow Stick Visit my Post for a few more tips.

Dump the tape altogether and use epoxy, it is way sturdier than any tape, and it leaves your plane with a cleaner look.
