I recently built a GWS Zero with the 350 motor. I installed a Castle Creations Pixie 20P 20 amp ESC and am using a 3 cell 1200 mAh Li-Poly battery. On the 7th flight I pulled into a vertical climb and the engine cut off. After an hour or 2 of tinkering, I've concluded that my motor is toast. I can plug the battery (fully charged) directly into the motor but get nothing. Is a 20 amp ESC too much for these motors, or am I making another mistake? Thanks.

More than likely you've burned the brushes out of your motor. Anything over a 7.2v pack and your motor life decreases with each extra volt. With a 3s pack, I wouldn't expect a motor to run for more than 10 or 15 flights.

I have a EPS-350C- C gear 9-7 prop running kan 8-cell 950's 2/3 A.
Does this mean I will only get 10 or 15 flights??????? If so I need to change things I can't afford that. What would suggest??? I'm fling a 19 oz. Kaos. I'm new to this stuff.

The 350 is a low volt motor and won't take a 3pack with a smile. It might give you a smile in terms of performance but not with life. You'll want to go with brushless for that. I run my plane with a GWS 350 and a KAN650 and am fine with it. I'm going to go with a Himax 2015-5400 and stay with the Kan 650. I've got lots of those...
