Default Fliton Jumping Jack cowl

Hey all,
I'm putting together a JJ and everything so far has gone according to plan and instructions. That is, up until I went to fit the cowl. All of the pictures I see of this model show the cowling slipping over the front of the fuse. When I try to do this with my cowl, it is too small to slide all the way back to clear the prop. Has anyone else run into this? The motor stick is glued in as far forward as possible and the motor, Himax 2025/4200 in GB, is also as far forward as it can go. Is it possible my cowl is too small or maybe the motor stick is not long enough?

Thank you,
John

It`s a long time since I had a JJ, but i remember i did cut two slots in the plastic body upper-part front to make it follow the upper part of the fire-wall. The slots were cut at the place it rested on two finer-parts... Sorry, dont have pics and dont remember too good, but this helped me on mine JJ...
