Default Just a Nice Pic of My Spit Flying today

Beautiful day for flying here in the valley today, and I just wanted to share this pic of my Spit that we took today of it. It just looks so much like a real plane in this one, it really impressed me. Hope you guys like it too. Lots of planes were out at the field, and everyone was enjoying the weather. Hard to believe we are still in winter, when it's so balmy out. Hope you are all having good flying days yourselves!

Thanks for the compliment. The pic was done with a Canon Powershot S40 digital camera. It was on the high speed setting, and we basically just followed the airplane along through the view finder, and clicked of the pics. Took a lot of pics today, but this one was the best of the bunch. Hope you can get some nice shots of your Zero, post em if you do!

Sweet Spitty man. What are you calling balmy? It's still a bit chilly here in VA.

The spit is the gws version, and yes, I highly recommend it (not for beginners, though). I've done some building mods on mine, and I did the paint. The motor is a Himaxx 2025-4200, using a Himaxx gearbox with 4.4-1 ratio, and a Masterscrew 8090 gas plane prop. Apogee 2480 Mah 3 cell lipo provides the juice, Hitec servos and receiver. The plane is very fast, but stable with a great glide ratio. I get good comments on it out at the field. I really enjoy flying it, it is a rush for sure. I've put another couple of pics of it here,so you can see it a little closer up. Balmy here in this part of Canada at this time of year is temps in the low 60's.

Excellent paint job, I almost thought it wasnt a GWS just because of the paint. Looks like a whole new airplane. Wonderfull job. Canada is a beuitiful place, I love the background in the photo, I once lived in Canada and am considering moving back. Its breath taking up there. Again excellent airplane.

Hey Jagzilla, what is your finished weight ready to fly? I am almost done with an ME 109 and that cannonball is like 15.9 oz with a GWS 350, 8 cell 1050 mah, and Eflite 30A ESC, No main gear or rudder and that doesnt include paint [X(]

The spit weighs 18 oz, auw. I also have the 109, which with the gws 350, and a apogee 1500 Mah 2 cell lipo, it weighed in around 16 oz's,painted with no landing gear no rudder. It flew alright, but I quickly changed over to a Feiago 18t brushless on it. It is facing retirement at the moment, due to a few too many smack-ups.
