Default Lite Stick

In an effort to get weight off my lite stick I am removing plastic. I mounted the servos directly to the stick with servo tape. I mounted the battery with velcro directly to the boom of the stick. Can anyone think of a reason why this should not work?

Looks like a pretty clean set up to me. I see no reason why it shouldnt fly. I like the velcro Idea, I do that with all my planes that way you can always move the battery to change the CG

looks lite to me. What battery pack are you using. In my Tigre Moth I'm using 6 720 nimh which are lighter by far. I also get about 35 minutes run time on them to. That Lite Stick motor is only pulling about 1.5 amps and producing 14 watts of power so you might give it a try and see what happens. At least not only would you be as light or lighter but your run time goes sky high.

If I were you, I'd also use either a small rubber band, or one of those wire ties we get at the grocery store, to ensure no failure of the battery velcro. Ever had a dangling battery? I have, and it's not pretty what it does to teh CG!
