Wow that was quick, i hadn't actually noticed any problems with the last thread but i haven't been back long. Just a few missing posts but they were off topic so it could have been a moderator. Here's to part 4 anyway *clink*

Hi Andrew,

Traditionally we try to start a new part when we get to around 100 pages or so....
I think the missing posts this time were related to RCU getting hacked - hence the bogus email notifications yesterday.

ahem,
happy 100 again lads, welcome back also Andrew, and Bert, did I say 250 watts? I may have been fibbing a bit there actually,350 is better I think,in fact I'm a thinking of chucking the 4S in to shut up you power hogs,I just gotta change my ESC....300 odd watts is plenty, she is not really a 3D plane IMHO,so a speedier setup is ok I reckon..
Bleary.

Thankyou Crawf .....good to see our transition across to the new thread was as smooth as ever.
I was going to introduce my other self this morn but he doesn't seemed to have appeared .....hiding from the big work day ahead I guess ......he's a lazy lardarse.
Our thriving metropolis is having a back-to Easter w/end and the population swelled from 5 to 600 last time we did this ........might hire a burger van and skin these tourists when they arrive ........and an 'A' board with All Proceeds To The 'SAVE THE MUS FUND' ....and surrounded by pictures of little furry animals and I should clean up.
We have our old pub open for the townies to wander through .......will have to listen to words like quaint and historic etc ......for christ sake we aussies are trying real hard to find some roots/history.....hundred odd year old house is just an old house (should have come down years ago).....these people need to travel a bit in europe I think. ...an example is my sister-in-law in Edinburgh. Her house is 400 years old and she doesn't have govt requesting people look through her house ......they just interfer when she wants to refurbish the kitchen .....but not organise visitors.
my utes nearly as old as our dump, I might put it out the front and charge 20 bucks a ride (Save the cute little furry Minimag)

.....and the other screwup, I foolishly took some diggings to the bank out of curiousity (was a silly moment of 'be a good citizen') .....woops, I won't do that again [] ......best I use the yank buyer when he's in the area

so much going on and little time to fly []

anyway, Hi Folks

and for the hat trick

How about teaching your little brother how to do thumbnails

Every time we have a pictorial page, she stalls at half pic and so I go through and open properties of each pic.....cut and paste the 'location' to a browser ......and while that's loading get the next pics location from properties and paste that in a browser.........and then copy the pics to a folder ......and so on.

......but what can you do when you are stuck with a third world system of internet. .....my choice I guess

howdy fella's,

Thought I better join in the mayhem. There was down time yesterday when RCU did maintenance on the forums. Possibly the reason for missing posts?

Rowdy, I second the new plane for your birthday! So much to choose from..... I reckon if I didn't have any willpower I'd have a 100 by now.......... Should never have listened to DI and gone to that place at Mansfield, now I want a 3.1m WS extra......

Bleary.
You are right with this Bleary, most of the time I am flying on less than half throttle. As I said before I went for the bigger motor to avoid lead in the front of the plane. If you have to have weight it might as well be power or bling.

Oh and welcome all to part IV of the ABB story - where the truth wont get in the way of a good story !

Hmm - that hobbyparts.com.au looks like it could be a useful sort of place for that impossible to get bearing etc.

Hi all,

Wondered why it had gotten so quiet on the old thread. I have my answer now. Here's to another 100 pages of flying, triumph, disaster, off topic rants, and off topic problems.

As I think most of you know I've got a few little projects on the go at the moment. The one I've been gradually working through after work is my easybox II from inflex (www.nqrc.com) that I'm trying to setup for indoor flight. Project is running pretty well at the moment. My calculations suggest I'm going to have an AUW in the order of 143g or 5.1oz, and she has about 200sq inches of wing, giving her a wing loading of about 3.66 oz/sq ft. That gentlemen, is lower than a slow stick.

Using this tiny little outrunner from UH:
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6311

The wing has now been skinned. I installed the motor last - all good although I am having some issues with throttle cutting out at what I would have thought was well below max amps. Further my clamp meter didn't want to take a measure - hopefully it is not stuffed - too expensive to only last 1 year. Anyway - here's to the next 100 pages.

Cheers,
Oz.

Nice looking Easybox Oz,what did you cover the wings with mate?
Kx,I agree with you regarding Daylight saving,to me it needs to start in the beginning of November, and maybe finish in Feb,there is a lot of afternoon/evening light, but the bloody wind is always howling by then.[:'(]

Oops, I saw 'Manfields' and immediately jumped to conclusions I thought you were talking about the Bits&Pieces bloke .......pretty sure you gave me that tag originally DI .......and has certainly been useful for bearings.

Thanks Machette it wouldn't be a problem to get to work late for any other reason (big night out hangover etc) but late for flying planes no way he just doesn't get it[sm=confused.gif]
