Air Tractor 402 Build Thread
 

Ok guys, here goes my first try at a scratch build. Its a Air Tractor 402, with a 38" WS. Here's how I came about building this plane. While at SEFF 2012 I seen this plane flying around at the east end of the field. When I got a chance to talk to the pilot I ask him who made the plane. He told me that he scratch built it. I asked him if I could get a set of plans. After a little research I finally e-mailed him and he sent me a CAD file of the plane. A HUGE thanks to Dave for sending me the plans. I then sent the file to Camden Custom Cutters out of S.C. and Mr. Marshall cut me two short kits. A huge thanks to him for working with me and giving me a great price. I will say the laser cutting is EXCELLENT!
I made a trip to my LHS to gather the material for building. So tonight I started working on the tail surfaces. I will try to update this build thread as I complete various stages of the A.T.[img][/img]

Here are some pictures of the Elevator. I am amazed at what a excellent job Camden Custom Cutters did on cutting these parts. All the parts fit together extremly well.

I started on the wings today and I'm hoping to get them finished up this afternoon. I will be using Robart Hinges for the wings and I'm thinking that I will use CA hinges on the rudder and elevator.

Wing is complete!!! Looking good so far. I started the Fuse sides and I'm sure this is gonna be a pain. Lots of little stuff on the plans. Gonna take it slow and see what happens.

I finally got a good start on the fuse and I'm hoping to have it finished up in the next few days. So far this is where I'm at.

I guess I will not be going any further with this forum. For the last two days everytime I go to upload a picture I get some type of INTERNAL ERROR MESSAGE. Im over it!
