Windy? No problem!!!

I just went to the field Sunday. Most pilots were just BS'n not flying because the wind was 15mph gusting over 20mph. I flew my 60 size stick plane for a while and then brought out my formosa.... The wind was so high that the plane would not stay on the runway, it was being blown backwards!!! I put an 11X8 on it so I had a little more speed then the 12X6 provides. The guys at the field were all making jokes at me because it was so windy and I was about to fly a foam airplane that weighs less than a pound.

I decided that since I could not get the plane so stay still on the runway I'll just let it go by hand. Gave her power and let her go vertical 50 feet with 3 snaps on the upline... the people that were making jokes at me... I heard them all say "WOW!!!! that plane has some power".. (I love that):D

I then flew around knife edge is only easy down wind for obvious reasons... Rolling circles.. loops.. then that dreaded landing...
Came in nice almost just stoped in the air aginst that wind droped right down and then a gust of wind blew it onto it's back. No damage done.

Second flight I decided to just fly it down and catch it.

Was a good day at the field :D
