Crazy servo's in neutral...help
I'm just about finished with my Slow Stick and finally got the right channel crystal for my RX. (GWS 4P "J" shift). It's hooked up to my GWS100 speed controller and a couple of GWS Mini F servos. I'm using an older Airtronics VG4R TX. I don't have any control rods hooked up at this point. When I plug in the battery the servos go flying all over the place....real spastic. When I switch on the TX, they calm down and go to the correct neutral position and act normally. When I switch the TX off, they go all spastic again. At this point the RX is hanging by the wires and the antenna is stretched out on the work table. Battery is 7.4V 1100NiMH.
So what am I doing wrong? |
RE: Crazy servo's in neutral...help
You need to turn on the tx first then the rx second.
I have seen my receiver do this when I have no tx on, but not always. You should always turn on the tx then the rx and in reverse turn off rx then turn off tx. Safety precautions!! Might be picking up surrounding rf noise as these are not the most selective receivers. I found out their is a guy in the neighbor hood that has a park flyer he flys in my area and we are on the same channel. His free time is about the same as mine. This lends a problem with the park flyers not needing a regular field. Their is no frequency control with the park flyers in any area unless at a field. Could be a new problem for ama. |
