Help! ASAP
I'm trying to get my slow stick going. I have all GWS electronics. When I ordered it they asked to specify if I wanted JR or Hitec/Futuba. I said Futaba I think not knowing why or the difference.
The tranmitter (i think its called) which you plug the servos and ESC into, its a GWS R4P, its has a white sticker on it with a capitol "F", does that mean its futaba/hitec ? My servo packages have "JR" checked of on them... is this my issue? b/c when i plug everything in, nothing happens..... |
RE: Help! ASAP
What kind of transmitter do you have?

RE: Help! ASAP
transmitter is part of the GWS dream starter II kit.

RE: Help! ASAP
I believe the transmitter can be bought with either shift. Check the invoice for the transmitter and check if there is a letter J (positive shift) or F (negative shift) on it somewhere. I suspect you have the J transmitter. If it's a J, you'll have to get a J receiver. The J servos will work with either. The thing you plug the servos into is the receiver. |
RE: Help! ASAP
There is a sticker with and "F" on both the TX and RX.

RE: Help! ASAP
Make sure the receiver crystal is on the same channel as the transmitter and that the transmitter batteries are good.
Ensure your motor battery pack is charged. The servo connection numbers are numbered from front to rear with the receiver crystal side up and the connectors facing to the right. The CH1 connector is straight across from the crystal. Turn the transmitter on and plug the E S C into channel 3. Hook up a servo to another channel. Connect the battery to the E S C. If you have a switch on the E S C, turn that on. Hope that get 'er going. |
RE: Help! ASAP
they only thing that i think may be causing the problem then now is that the crystall in the RX is 40, and the crystall in the TX is 49. im charging the battery in the TX right now.

RE: Help! ASAP
Then it won't work....
the Tx and RX need to be on the same channel |
