Nothing works!!! Only the Rx!!! What should I do? Anyone have any ideas of what could be going on? I'm so tired of buying things that never work!!!

RE: PLEASE HELP!!!
well I plug the ESC plug into the Rx, channel 3 I have the motor wires all 3 twisted together before I solder them together connected to the esc. I then hook my battery up to the esc and the servos jump but no arming tones from the esc, nothing servos work but not the motor or esc. I have tried everything I can't think of anything to do, and nothing works! Don't know if the esc is bad or the motor is bad. Um could there be some place were the motor is not making a good conection to the esc wires?

Sir, I would have asked the same question.
Do you want to save someone else from doing the same thing? Tim |
RE: PLEASE HELP!!!
Just don't cut the bullet connectors off of your esc and motor, I was dumb and thought the male ends were missing, so I was going to just solder the motor and esc wires together, after it didn't work I got to thinking that was were my problem was occuring. So I re-soldered the bullet connectors and everything works perfectly.

RE: PLEASE HELP!!!
I've had some crazy, totally illogical stuff happen with these electrics gear. Two comes to mind, they both defy all logic, but they happened. I had a brushed esc connected up to the motor and pack and was testing to see if it all worked. Well, the motor kept getting very hot, I didn't apply any power to it, it just kept getting hotter and hotter. I unplugged the battery, it kept getting hotter, I unplugged the esc and it cooled down. I then go back and plug the esc back in again, this time no battery, and it kept getting hotter again. I did this several times that night, I couldn't figure out what or how this was happening, it made no logical sense at all. I left it unplugged and the next day, I couldn't reproduce the problem. Another, I had a servo reverse on it's own, I've used it in several planes, I had to reverse how I mounted it in order to get it to jive with the other aileron servo, really weird, unexplainable stuffl.
One of the other problems, of which I finally got to the bottom, occured last year, apparently the velcro which was attached to the RX was pulling out the christal, the contacts were barely there and I couldn't see the problem because the velcro was covering it up. It drove me nuts since I'd get the plane to the field and when I powered everything up, it would go nuts, I'd switch it off and on several times and it would finally settle down and behave. Reflecting back, this accounts for many times where I thought I was facing radio interference, it wasn't that, it just happened to be tugging at the christal a bit while in the air. I didn't figure it out until I decided to remove the velcro when I was placing it into another plane, and even then, it was only a fluke I decided to pull it off. I've also had servo's that seemed to be dead, I stored them away for rebuild later, and find out after testing them again, they are perfectly fine. |
