Thinking of buying an E-starter
 

I'm currently thinking of getting an e-starter as my 1st RC plane.
would the following be a good build seeing its a kit

which would be better 2S or 3S the ESC/motor combos could run on either, Or hell could I just run my 5200 mah 2S 30c 333g hard cased lipos in it from my buggy and save cash on the batteries(guessing there too heavy seeing they weigh about 2X the others I linked above)

I'm estimating $160 all together shipped via EMS. Does the above look like a good setup for a starter, and am I missing anything?
I already own a Turnigy Accucell 6 charger.

I'm going to pretty much have to learn to fly this solo seeing I work when most people don't (night shifts and every weekend) during the early afternoon on weekdays. But I do have a pretty big open flat park nearby which has a few baseball fields(was going to use the baseball diamond as a landing strip seeing its pretty flat) and 2 soccer fields with a whole lotta land inbetween so I have more than enough room to fly it.

Everything looks good. Nice plane to start with or even for experienced pilots to have fun with.

For a few dollars more, you can get this radio with 5 model memory.

syco your choice is a good one, I will say having had and flown a couple ES that you would be more happy with the lower KV set up

this will allow you to use the torque over the speed while in the learning curve
couple hints to help your new ES survive it's first few,, eh er non scheduled landings :)
when building install CF tube or rod down the fuse from behind the rear windsheild area to the front of the elevator stab
I went a lot longer than most before it happened but at some pont the tail is gonna get broke, this early mod will help tremendously
also go with the 3S, you would most likely not be happy with the performance of the 2S, also 2200 is the perfect size pack for this plane
you may need to move the pack forward some to get your CG correct

well ordered the 3s 2200 lipos,
only thing I changed was the 4ch controller over to a 6ch controller and usb interface for a total of $5 more than the 4channel so I can use it with FMS http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=9042 I'm personally not going to need the memory seeing I can't buy anymore planes due to limited storage ;)

and got the servos you pointed out seeing the ones I was originally looking at sounded kinda flaky after reading more reviews on them(dying in the middle of flight didn't sound fun).

also ordered the plane itself total cost was $161 including EMS shipping from HK not bad from my $160 rough estimate :D

The E Starter is a great little plane to fly. Mine comes with me every time I head out to the field.

Check this site out for an Estarter. I have used them on batteries and motors and have been very happy with their service - Florida. Closer than HongKong. If you cost their recommendations I think you will be a lot less than $160.
