Default Weight, Curare

To anyone out in Pattern country. I'm in the process of finishing a Curare 60. I'm installing a Rossi, 5 port rear exshaust with pipe. My question is, what should be the flying weight of this bird. Any and all help will be appreciated. Also the ailarons and elevator throws..

7.5 to 8lbs if the airplane is equipped with retracts. That engine once broken in should have no issues with an 11x10 prop. Aileron throw is a personal preference thing but you should be able to do anything you need with 15 degrees of elevator. If with 15 degrees the elevator seems like it's not enough you are most likely running your CG too far forward.

Help needed on a Curare copy known as " Career 60 " from Mutchler Hobbies. A friend gave me this airplane. it has a fiberglass fuselage, wing, foam and sheeted. Wing tips were missing, the stab is anahedral . What type pushrods should i use. Dave Brown used to make fiberglass ones.Perhaps i can use 1/4 " dowels. Ill be using one servo for each aileron and electric retracks, E-Flite tri gear, the 45 to 50 size. They cam handle up to 9 1/2 lbs. and a Rossi 5 port rear exhaust. I have two of them. Ill paint the fuse and stab. and cover the wing and trim it. ALL HELP IS APRICIATED.
