Default Gasser?

Looks like a perfect match for a RCS 1.40 or MVVS gasser.

WHoo HOO!

Nose is 3.69 wide as is, unless you like to cut it out for gas engine.
It balances perfectly (no extra weight) with OS120. (33oz)

Looks like ready to fly weight should be 8-8-1/2lb.

Default Well, hot dang!

That nose is wide enough for a ZdZ 40!
http://www.rcshowcase.com/zdz_40_rv-L.htm

Only 3.3 inches wide.

Imagine a 9 lb plane with a 25 lb thrust motor!

Whoo hoo!

Insane!

I agree with John VH, let us have it with a 80" wing. Then would make a great first time gas plane.

Default Why not this one?

Dude's!!
This plane would be a blast with RCS 1.40!!!
GASSSERRRR!!

At 8-9 lbs you'll be plenty enough thrust (15-16 lbs).

SO heck....why go 80 inch when you got a gasser to pull it already?

Wanna get crazy? Go for a ZdZ 40 in it!! It will fit....

Default IT IS A KEEPER!!!

Up-Date: Somethin' Bigger has been successfully flown on 7-15-02.
After short tune-up and set-up it was flying absolutely NICE!!! It will do slowest or fastest rolls, smallest loops or as big as you want. Knife edge, inverted loops, inverted flight and some other basic maneuvers were performed with ease. Stall characteristics were also tested, but stall was not achieved as it will not stall! It was flying at idle with its nose up. Wing loading of only 18.1 oz/sq.ft explains this very well (wing loading is lower that on some trainer planes). It will take off at about half throttle and land at incredibly low speed. Just to describe it shortly: "Very excided and pleased!"

AKM.

Default Estimated kit cost?

Sounds Great AK!!
What's the price gonna be on these bad boys!!

Gonna beat a Stinger 1.20 price?
(Even though I'm sure the plane will fly loops around it)

High Flights,

Default Price to ba announced soon.

It will be hard to beat Stinger 1.20 prices of 134.99 but it will not be far from it.
Somethin’ BIGGER is all built-up laser cut kit compare to Stinger foam wing and fuselage construction. Price will be announced soon.
Thank you.

Sounds easy enough! Make sure there isnt anything called that. Now make the rudder and elevator a little bigger for better 3D and weve got a winner! Oh, and make it over 80"

Hey, this is almost exactly what I want for my MVVS 1.60 gas. But why is the wing so stubby? 3D and fun-fly right? How about an XLP (precision) for us turn around pattern wanna be's. 72" span, same wing area, little bit longer fuse.
