Default 3D Foamy's new PRO 3D kit with G-Force wings!

All foamy's are NOT created equal.....

Ok, sorry about the corny "G-Force" name... but I thought it sounded cool!

This started as a fix to the only complaint I get about the kits....

... " I had to cut the spar slot...."

Well, I don't like complaints, so I scratched my brain and came up with the newest and coolest wing design!

It's the same weight as before, easier to build, flies better, looks better and is stronger than any other flat plate foamy out there!

I am designating this the "Pro 3D" option for the kits...

So what does the new "PRO" version get you????

1) All Depron (not "Ultrafoam") LASER cut parts, all hardware, my "Torqued" motor mount system, and the Build CD with all the videos, plans, and manuals.

2) G-Force wing design: This is the heart of the pro version. It is a 6mm depron core, the spar cutout is laser cut FOR YOU! So are the aileron servo cutouts... Then the beautiful LE is all lightened up with the lightning holes.... To top it off, the control horn slots are all cut, ready for the cool 3D Foamy 3D control horns (included) The Beauty of the deal is the top and bottom LE wing skins. It allows for slower airspeeds on the downlines, totally eliminates high speed "hunting" (not much to start with though) and improves the tracking to the point that you WILL NOT think you are flying a "Flat" wing... The top wing cap covers the servo and lightening cutouts... The bottom wing cap makes it all symetrical... By sanding the LE round, it creates a good seperation point for good clean snaps. The Caps carry back to MAC , then bevel into the 6mm section. This creates a small vortex down the rest of the wing, allowing better aileron control, less wing rock, and a little more "lift" for slower landings. This also helps out with the glide ratio.... It looks awesome too.... the aileron servos and wires are completly hidden in the wing. No more servo leads dangeling in the wind!

3) Direct Drive rudder and elevator linkage. The servos are located as close as possible to the flight surface. It uses a short carbon pushrod for control... The plane flies like a 40%er, and so now the controls are setup the same too!

Here's a shot of the kit contents....

Bottom line is that this is the stiffest, most precise, most accurate flying and building kit to date.

(in the voice of Homer Simpson) drool...mmmmmmmarghhmmmarmmm....AiRpLAnE.........M mmmmArgamm

Nice work.

I WANNA SEE THE KIT FOR THAT F-15 Park Jet.

I watched the video, and dang that thing flys nice. Its the first jet Ive seen that actually looks like it flys like it should. Good low speed, and a rocket when you need it. Ive got a Great Planes gas F-15, and it does NOT like slow speed. I even put a functioning airbrake inbetween the rudders. I like the plane, just wish it flew better. Its a speed demon.

Im dying to see those F-15 plans.......PLEASE put em up.

The thing looks absolutely first rate. If the wing performs as it should, the flying charteristics should be greatly improved over what we've experienced before with flat plate wing designs and I love the idea of moving the tail servos closer to the tail. Levi, the truly great never rest. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

I just released my PRO kits that have the cool new G-Force wing...

I thought of dumping the FFF kits because you still have to cut the spar slot...

If I cut all the way through the wing so you can glue the spar in easily, would this be good or bad?

For more info... I use this method on the Park Jet kits... The spar gets cut all the way through, then a strip of 3M Satin (Gift Wrap) tape gets applied to the top and bottom. it paints nicely.

Since looks are not the greatest concern with FFF, would this be a good alternative to cutting the spar slot out???

Here's the F-18 with the Spar cut all the way through...

Levi,
This new wing/plane design looks awesome! How soon do you expect to have the Edge 540 in the Pro Version?

The rest of the kits are now "G-Forced".. so all new orders have the PRO option in Depron now....

I also finished up the manual for the PRO kits... Here's a link if you want to take a closer look at the construction methods.

Good work Levi,

I'll be picking up a couple of your pro kits in a couple of weeks. I have to have something new to fly when I take a break from putting that new 35% fuse together. You know how it goes, work for an hour or so, fly for 20 minutes, back to work for an hour or so. I have a constant supply of LiPo's charged for a quick flight when " I just have to fly".

See ya,

Ken

Levi I am really impressed with your planes and appreciate the Made in America stuff. I'll be picking up 1 of your bipes around the 1st of the year. I cannot believe your prices. Being at or below the big names, I don't know how you make any money.

BTW, congrats on the new addition to your family. Now you'll have someone to fly with in a few years. My 3.5 and 7 year old daughters are both flying with me now days. We have a great time at the field together.

Wow, interesting design, looks very nice and clean! I have been thinking of getting an electric 3D'er and this looks like a higher quality than any I have been looking at. Now that I see there is a Raven I know which one I will be starting with, I fly with, and am coached by Wayne in the full size Raven and Extra, and would love to have an RC variant! Do you plan on producing decal sheets for the Raven, or can you for an additional charge?

Thanks,

-Brett

I'm in the middle of getting the Raven all done for the graphics and such... should be after the weekend sometime. Say Hi to Wayne... we chatted about doing some flying, but with a new house, new kid, and a busy business... I just havn't made it down there yet!

This is a really cool wing design! After you sand it, is it completely airfoiled?

Looking foward to flying one,
Brandon

I am adding things to my shoping cart. . . for power I am looking at the AXI 2212/34, but as an electric Newbie I am uncertain about the LiPoly selection? Any advice on what would work best in this case would be great!
