Default Strikemaster has arrived!

I have received my new Strikemaster kit from Peter Mayer in Germany and I must say, this kit is excellent. Presheeted wings, elevator built & hinged, ailerons built & hinged, fowler flaps built.
The retract units have large brakes and the struts are as stout as a Jack Pine Stump! At 36 pounds and an overall wingspan of 98",
(with tip tanks), This will indeed be a great grass field flier.
Peter also sent along one of his new Santorin Plus kits.Very large and impressive. Both use P-120 for power.
There is a great article on both of these planes in the latest Jet World magazine, describing their flight capabilities while being flown by Steve Rickett

Peter and I now have in place arrangements to import these large kits here in the USA. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Default Strikemaster

Ron,

Indeed a nice plane! I wonder what the size of the box must have been?!

I was interested in getting one, too, but the size of the box might make shipping costs to Malta quite expensive. I have dealt with Peter on landing gear parts and he was a real gentleman.

Enjoy the kit!

Regards

Ron,
64oz of smoke fluid. That is about 5 min of smoke at 100% setting.
Kept up with the report.
BTW,
Are you able to open the file for smoke system instruction?
Brg,
Tam

Default Smoke

Tam,
I have the info saved on my computer for future reference.

I stated "designed to carry 64 oz.", I will use a 1 litre bottle,
plenty of fluid for me......

This kit has tons of room on the inside for all the goodies.

Thanks again for the great looking pipe......

Default Strikemaster

Ron,
I can certainly vouch for the flying characteristics of the model. I saw Steve Ricketts fly his model at RAF Leeming last autumn. (Actually a Jet Provost mkV)
It flew very consistently and was soooo scale like. Steve had the manouvres of the full size down to a fine art.
Its a large model and was powered to perfection by the P120 it had real presence in the air.
It made me stop what I was doing and this is saying something as its far from my favourite jet, Probably seen too many of them in my youth.
Have fun!

Default German pop bottles

Included in the kit are a set of pop bottles that have the Coca Cola label on the caps. These are much thicker & more rigid than what we have here in the US.
7/32 ID brass tubing with large clunk. Cut 1/16" brass stock to fit inside cap, soldered tubes in place, assemble with JB weld.
Each bottle holds 48 oz. With UAT, total of 100 oz. fuel All located on the CG.

John Mac,
Thanks for the encouraging words.
Gonna be a great Summer ( 6 degrees and wind chill of -25 this morning)

cheers,
rb
