Default OMP YAK 47

I'm building a OMP profile yak, and its an early 2000's kit with the blue foam fuse core, anything special I should know about this kit?
One thing I will say is that I'm impressed with the balsa quality.
Thanks

Thanks! Balsa is from Balsa USA. Use Gorilla glue or similar for the sheeting of the foam core. Great stuff!

Follow the directions, and it will turn out good. The only concern I had was the teatherite landing gear, they are abit spongy when landing and prop strikes if the landing isn't somewhat smooth.

Be careful to not get any glue in the servo wire channel when gluing the sheeting on the fuse. I used gorilla glue and it foamed into the channel. I used plenty of weight evenly on the fuse so the glue would not move the sheeting or produce gaps.

Wish I had another one fo these kits, real fun plane.

boy the teather light gear in the pic does look weak the stuff ive used from them looks way more beefy and it works great no worries about prop smacking the ground no mater how hard you dork the landing

When I put mine together, I put a sullivan tail gear on it, thinking it needed it. When the steering wire broke I put the original wire it was suppose to have on, and I think it works better.
One benefit to the tethrite gear is it won't stress the airframe as much -shock absorbing. If you fly off grass not abig deal at all.

Yep I fly of grass, so mild prop strikes aren't a problem anyways.
