If you dont spend alot of time sitting here infront of the computer , playing Majong or reading RCU, You can build a plane in a couple day.
Well started out to build a fuse for this ARF Dazzler wing, and let me tell ya,,,that ARF dazzler is a POS!
I just decide to scratch build a "NotforSale", anyway, I started on it Monday, and by tuesday eve, had it all framed up, ready to prep for covering.
made some changes on this NFS, I have built several of these in the past, , so I try to make this one lighter, moved the ele & rud servos back towards the tail on the outside of the fuse.
I want to see if it will 3D
anyway, I post some pics of it here tomorrow...G

The thing that kills me..somethimes I have a lot of spare time at work..I could build a couple of hours some days. I even have a big, flat, no-longer-used-since-AutoCad drafting table in my office.

Just setting there, beckoning to be built on.

Amazing how much time is really available to build... I've been getting up with my kids when they get ready for school at 5:30... I can get a couple of hours of building or flying in the morning before work...

That NFS sounds like a cool bird..... can't wait to see the pics...

Yeah, I'd love to have it at the house!! It's one of the old, heavy, wood, more like furniture.

its almost getting off the subject here, but someone mentioned drafting tables, I just gotta comment. I have a very nice drafting table, hard top (not hollowcore). Paid $25.00 fer it.

between work and home, I got 11 or 12 of 'em. LOL. just can't build the equivelant, for twenty-five bucks.

Boeing Surplus, if ya gotta know.

OK, back to the original topis. Sorry guys.

danhoh,
what size is the drafting table. Also here in memphis, I don't think we have a boeing surplus. Is that an office supply place.

He lives in Washington, I'll bet they are surplus from Boeing Aircraft when they made the switch from manual drafting to CAD.

That's how this one ended up in my office...I can do a little AutoCad, but I'm no drafter. I'd like to have this one for a covering table...keep it clean and free of little glue drips. Even has a couple of drawers to hold covering supplies.

I ought to see if the boss would sell/give it to me. I'm infatuated now, lusting after the forbidden drafting table

Default DRAFTING TABLES

They come in 2 sizes that I'm aware of. all are 4 feet deep. some are 5 feet wide, and some are 7 feet wide. They can be "knocked down or up" in about 15 mins.

Boeing Surplus is a outlet store for the Boeing Aircraft Company. This is how they get rid of their surplus marterials. As these companies go to CAD programs, they no longer have a need for these tables. Up here in Seattle, they must have gotten rid of thousands of these.

Wherever there is a Boeing factory(s), may have a Boeing Surplus store nearby.
