I stick with Thunderpower, they have IMO the best customer service and quality control. Your pack is guarenteed to be matched to within .001 of a volt[sm=thumbup.gif]. The 12C packs they have are great.

Big vote here for Tanic packs. I am using the 1050mah 3S's right now and loving them. 10.5c discharge rate is great, and the packs have balancing ports on them to individually charge the cells and check them. They are kinda pricey, but you really get what you pay for in Lipo packs
I am also using Kokam cells in some of my micro stuff like my 1 1/2 oz 3d planes and they are reliable as heck.

Actually the Tanics are 12C continuous.
If Spastic doesn't want bashing, I won't say anything about ThunderPower or Kokams.
I use Tanics, I recommend Tanics to my buddies, my buddies like them. I also have some Irate packs that have given very good service.
Oh, and Pauly is (or is becomming) a Tanic dealer FWIW.

On my E-Taco I have a Razor 350. I have both an 8C 1500 Kokam and a 12C Tp 1320. I get about 20-25 minutes of full 3D on the Kokam, and over 30 with the TP. I have so much more power on the TP than on the Kokam. I looked at all the places that sell 12C batteries and ended up with the TP because it was the lightest at 2.89oz. Gary, i'll send you some E-Taco video tonight.

i may just have to rob a bank to get the $130 for the astro
Chuck, i've been trying to get the LHS to get in touch with tanic and i just learned they have today, and are readly for buisness!!
it looks like i will be getting some tanics
i like the taps, and the owner seems like a good guy
i've used TP and i thought they were good but i like to be able to check the V at each cell
the LHS cant even get the 2100 tp's right now they are backordered
cool

Augur is right. He suggested the packs to me, and they just plain work..... And I got them from Swany. As always, he is good to deal with.
Just got back from thrashing mine around. Boy do I love electrics....
Chargers-- I am using the Apache 1-4 cell. Thinking of moving on to a better charger as this one does not have a setting for 1050 packs. Only 700mah, and at that setting they take about twice as long to charge.....

I have an Astro 109, an Apache 2500 and an Apache 1500.
I like the Astro and the Apache 1500. Both work great. The Apache 1500 is rock soild, but limited to 1500 Mah and pretty big gaps between the cell size (I charge 1100's at 1.2A......)
The Apache 2500 is just too picky. I have a very nice regulated power supply, it has no voltage drop when the chargers are connected, but the output voltage is 13.25V. The 2500 will not work from that power supply. The Astro and Apache 1500 both work great hooked to it, the 2500 gets an error. But hook the 2500 up to a lead acid deep cycle marine battery and it happy as a clam, works great hooked up to the cigarette lighter jack in my topper.. Won't work off the power supply. So it is a field charger only, but as a field charger it's fine!

Yup... I'm dealing the Tanics... I can get you anything shown on the Tanic web page. There's some lead time because the demand is soo high.
I think they are the best battery out there for the money.... I've had to repair other suppliers batteries and I just don't see the same quality in the assembly of the pack. Plus I don't know anyone else that does the separate cell taps to equalize or test the batteries.

What about Apogee? Got a couple freebee's at Toledo, 830mAh's, and rated for 10.5C or 9A continuous. Burnt one up after pulling 13A a few dozen times, but that's to be expected. Anybod hear of them/have any experience how they relate to the others?

Where are you guys finding the TP 12C packs? The TP website is very out-of-date, they only show the 5C and 6C packs. I have 2 of the 3S 2100 TP packs for my Attitude, love 'em.

if you want good quality real 10C lipo's, go to www.falconbatteries.com Awesome quality and price. George is a good guy to communicate with too. Custom packs are no problem either. www.newcreations-rc.com sells them too.
