well, finally started on my EF Edge last night. If I remember right I read or heard somewhere that the landing gear should be mounted in a slight forward angle correct ? I think Gary said it. Well anyway that is what I did. I also used a steerable tailwheel instead of the one supplied. Power will be a Irvine 53 and servos will be JR 3421 digis. Battery will be a radicla rc 1350 mah NIMH. How does that sucker balance with the Irvine 53 ?

Ulf, I am the one that said to angle the gear slightly forward in the assembly thread on the fun fly forum. I did it to Garys plane though, and mine of course.
To those of you that had good luck with the HS81's, all I can say is count your blessings. I have had 81's on the throttle of several planes and had many failures, they could not all of had the vibration thing. (IMO) If they work for you buy them, I am not saying do not buy, just that my experience has been otherwise.

Gator, I'm using hs 85 mg's in Nemo and my EF 540. That 100 shakes the heck out of the EF and it's holding up great after at least 10 gallons of fuel. The plane on the other hand is..... lets say a little long in the tooth
Luckily I have a new backup almost ready to go.

a 100 man that thig is got to be nuts I have the saito .82 on mine and that is way over kill but I love it. I am using the mg-225mg servo for mine but I have heard bad things about it. I need more control so I might go digital

I have had better luck with the 85 over the 81 for some reason. I thought they were the same servo just geared differently to achieve more torque. Jeff W.

I put an HS-85 on my throttle initially and it wouldn't stay still. This has happened the first time I ran the engine on the ground. I have since replaced it with a Futaba 3002 Mini. (I got a great price on this otherwise would have went with a mini-digital).

I had a Hobbico Mini ( Fast ) Go south last week I installed a Futba 5101 The plane is easy to hover. I am liking the slower servo. It seems to have more control or it could be when I fixed the fuse last week it added tail weight. Whatever Its working Great.
