I wouldn't round those control surfaces... Just knock of the edge a little and cover it..

hey thanks for your help again paul.

ok so i have built the wing with all the ribs..

then i have the 2 solid ones left over..
do you glue those on the edges or what
to make the edges of the wing stronger..aka wing tip..

also what do you do with the extra antenna wire once its been routed through the antenna tube installed in the wing ?

thanks
Felix

yeah, the solid slightly oversize ones are the tip plates. I usually make a loop in the receiver compartment and let a couple inches of antenna dangle out of the tube, never had problems with that.

All except for a couple of inches hanging out of the end of the wing.

I've seen fully enclosed antenna's... Using a tube inside the wing. I've just never opted to go that route.

Cap strips on the ribs where the servo rails go? The area on top of the servo rails is sheeted. I'm not sure I understand what you mean.... Can you post pictures?

Felix,
Just my $.02, but I like to cover the bottom of everything first. That way, the overlaps from the top are uniform according to the trim scheme on the top. Don't forget to leave enough wood to glue to on the bottom of the top fuselage half and the top of the bottom fuselage half.

When covering the motor mount, I like to take the covering almost 3/4 of the way back on the sides. When the mount has been covered, I dry-fit it into the wing and make sure it is fully seated. Then take a fine point sharpie and trace the root rib on each side of the motor mount. Remove the assembly and cut and remove the covering along the INSIDE of the line. Now you have bare wood in the appropriate places for glueing when you install the motor mount.

As for CG, I start right on the main spar for the Burrito and adjust as necessary. That is a good conservative setting and should be pretty comfortable.

Got any Pics yet?
