Default Scratch building the burrito!

Ok.. This is my first scratch build.... The plans look great! I don't think I'll have any problems.

I do have a couple questions:[sm=confused.gif]

(1) Where can I get the carbon fiber needed for the build?
(2) Does a build sheet exist? (I can figure it out, but it would save me a few extra trips to the LHS).

Thanks... I can't wait to get started.[sm=cool.gif]

There are tons of places to get the CF, run a search, a lot of kite sites have it and several Model suppliers. And I would guess Paul would sell you one too.

Do you just like to scratch build? I can't imagine not taking advantage of CNC cut parts for less than you can possibly buy the wood! But I guess some guys like to do that, I'd rather my planes fall out of the sky fully built, weighing 50% less than I had hoped in my wildest dreams, with fuill blown gatorcotes.

I can set you up with the part you need if you like.... Take a look at www.swanyshouse.com/burrito/burrito.html for an idea of what parts are cut for you in the kit.... I can send as much or as little as you want. Saves a bunch of time.... Either way, send me a PM to let me know if you need some help.

Last time I tried to reply to your email, it was rejected as spam.... You really know how to hurt a guy...

Hey, don't let me rain on your parade!![8D] If you want to do it, go for it. Personally, I'd scratch some $200 kit that is cut like crap anyway (you know, like anything from a Co with the initials GP)[8D]

I'd be interested in learning a good cheap source for carbon fiber strips for scratchbuilds, mods and repairs too. My lhs carries the BVM strips and it ain't cheap - 48" of 1/4" 14mil strip for $8.00 thereabouts.
