Default Something's really wrong!

Finally started to get the hang of my Hard Bet and was really starting to have fun with it. Had it about 6 inches above the runway and popped it up into a hover. Guess it was hanging at about 6 feet when the motor flamed out, just high enough so that when it flopped the nose smacked first. Took the nose off back to the first bulkhead, cleaned the landing gear (clean breaks, easy fix), trashed the prop and ripped the spray bar out of the carb. Rest of the plane didn't get a scratch, so it should be flying again pretty shortly. This is the first one I've trashed from down that low and like I said, something's really wrong, the weird part is (must be a name for it or something) and I think it's what keeps me coming back for more (3D), even the crashes are amazing.

What motor do you have on there? Could just be something simple why it keeps flaming out on you....

I don't know the word for it either, but I know the feeling!!! Sorry about your plane, but glad to hear you want to come back for more!

Didn't mean with the motor (first time it flamed out in 2 years), meant with 3D in general (kinda confused me too when I read it again). Gotta be something really wrong with a hobby (addiction maybe?) when even the crashes impress the hell out of me.

It just sounds like you're a fully addicted 3Der now! Tell us a little about the engine though. You don't want this to happen again.... lol. Like Swany said, there's probabbly a simple solution to why it flamed out on you.

in 99% of my cases it because the engine is unable to get adequate fuel draw....from the jug sitting in the pits!!

Glad it's fixable, and I have one question......Why were you so high? (JK)[&:]

Working on getting it lower. I'll try harder after it's fixed.
