Default Flew my Katana ARF today

It was cold, but the wind was light. No trim was needed. Hovers easy as the 47'' Edge. Very stable high alpha, no wing rocking at all. Wild spins, lands like a puppy dog.
I put the 46fx way out on the nose to get the cg close without adding weight, still came out a little tail heavy but I like it like that.

Hey Dave can you confirm that you can harrier it around the field with 30 degrees or 65 degrees on the elevator. I've never seen a profile able to do that before mine. Usually you had to use less throw and more power, but on the new Katana you can use any amount of throw and just work throttle with no wing rocking.

My CG is 135mm.

The cg is at 130 mm at the fuse sides. Elevator is 45 degrees. Ive got 10 flights on it now, around 12 min. each.
I'll get some video next time I fly it.

Today I moved the engine back so that the rear set of holes is now the front. About an inch back , ...much better. I think the cg is perfect now , a little down input is needed when inverted.
The instructions give a distance from the leading edge for the cg , but they don't say if its at the fuse sides or out at the tips or somwhere in between.
I think it should be at the sides of the fuse 135mm back.
It was nose heavy with the engine in the foward position, but it was no big deal to move it back

No not yet. Soon I hope. I forgot to bring the cam last time. I don't have a hosting site for video.
Last video(GS540) my cam man drank way to much coffee, got a headache trying to watch it.

Are the YS engines shipping this week? Hope so, I have the OMP Yak ready to go 'cept the engine and tank install.

I just flew the Katana profile ARF w/ Saito 82 and Pro-Zinger 15x4 prop. It harriers much better than the TT.46 w/ 12x4 prop. I guess the extra prop wash helped. Everything seems to be very much in control.

Is the 15X4 Pro Zinger a wide blade? I have the exact same setup Katana/Saito 82 and have an APC 15X4 wide blade I haven't tried yet. Was wondering if it might be too much for the 82.

Pro Zinger 15x4 is a little narrower than APC 15x4W. Spool up is instant, I can tell you that.

Gotcha. I'll probably try them both.
