sounds good so far, even if it isn't as big of turn out as houston we'll still have a good time. kevin if its any trouble don't worry about it. don't feel obligated at all, just messin around but if so great.
so should it be profiles only? i say any funfly, profile, or pbf.
what do u guys think?
thx

I'm in for sure. I think it should be open to all fun fly planes. My best friend and flying buddy is the manager at the Hobby Town USA here. I need to know the date as soon as possible so he can get off for that weekend. There should be several others from our club interested in going. I'm am looking forward to this fun fly almost as much as going to Joe Nall.

theres one vote for 2 days. there are no hook ups but tents, campers, rvs, or what ever are fine. or we could just have the flyin on sat. but anyone wanting to stay and fly wiht us the next day is welcome. we will sort it all out by then
thx

Default What to do?

There have been several post on the Next ProBro Fly In thread that have said that they would like to come to the fly in in NC if they were spaced apart. I cannot attend the Houston event and I really like the idea of getting together with others who can't as well. Maybe a small non-official ProBro event is in order for us early in the season with a second official fly in later in the summer. That way those of us could still fly together in march or whenever and still get most of the bros that go to Houston to come later in the summer. Thoughts anyone? I'm fine with whatever happens, I just love to fly!!

Default Agree with Flyboone

I didn't realize that there would be so much interest by those that are planning on going to Houston would make the trip to NC. I suggested that we have it in NC at the same time, though after the many comments on the other thread, maybe it would be best to have the NC event to June/July time frame. I would suggest that if changed to June/July time frame, that it be a 2-day event to make it worth wild for those traveling long distances. But be careful, I am batting 1000% on my suggestions here lately Has anybody heard anything regarding the timeframe on the TOP? With my luck, I would be suggesting that the NC Fun-Fly would be at the same time as the TOP

Awesome. Let us know how the meeting goes. We'll probably stay for two days just for fun if we're welcome.

Default yaaaaahoooooo

I'm with the Yard Birds (Salisbury) & I feel sure several of us would be able to attend a fly-in if fun fly type's are allowed.

Whats the limitations on fun fly's? Is a 91" Big Hots alright? It is a fun fly.

Default Profile Bro's in NC and SC ???

ok guys,
heres the scoop, its on for march 15 and 16th.

any funfly type airplane is good enough for this one, no strict rules but some of the events may require better ones than others. any profile, pbf, flip3d, ucd 3d, fazer, etc.. u get the idea, any funfly will work. there will be concessions but no facilities, but there are pleanty of trees and an old lawn mower shedto stand behind ( plus a gas station about 1-2 miles form here if needed).

there will be some prizes for the events and prolly a raffle and 50/50. the 15th will be the main day and the 16th is for anyone who wants to sleep over, camp out, rv, what ever you do( there are hotels in town about 10-15 min from here) the 16th is just open flying, anything u wanna fly u can fly, no limitations. as far as the 91" hopts, i don't care but u might not beable to do some of the crazier events with it but u can still fly it. this is mainly just so no trainers, pattern planes, 40%, etc, just laid back funflying fun.

if there are enuff participants, maybe ahve a hoverfest where a lot of planes hovering at same time, all pbf's at once or who knows.

know u guys need to help me thing of good ideas for events. ( hovering contest/touch tail inside hula hoop, tounch n go off table, spot landing, lowest flat spin, help me think of good ones and everyone who hasn't posted already who will definatly be here post a number of people so we will ahve a rounded idea for concessions.

thanks all and let s get it going, and then put on a bigger one in the summer when everyone comes.

Chris
