OS .90FX + Somethin' Extra
Hello all,
Bought a Somethin' Extra kit last night. Been out of RC for about 3 years and decided I needed something to do so bought the kit. Kit builds great, one afternoon was enough to have the wings nearly complete. My question is, anyone flying this plane with a .90 on the nose? The .90 weighs the same as the .60 so weight shouldn't be an issue. I know it won't fly quite as nice as a light plane will but I'm really looking for ballistic vertical performance Any advice? Thanks, Todd

What type of flying are you wanting to do??? If you are looking to do nothing but sport and mild aerobatics the 90 will be fine. If you are going to attemt 3Ding it then you must keep it lite. Then you should get yourself a 82 saito.
I had one with an HB61 pdp. It flew great and vertical was ballistic. KE sucks on them, but most everything else was great.

Mainly just sport flying. Not really into 3D but I'd like to learn how to hover sometime. I figure if I can ridiciolusly over-power the thing without an increase in weight over the .60 then why not :-p
