Gator,
Looks good.
When I finished mine I couldnt believe how much cash I had into this thing.

Easiest hovering plane you have ever flown. Guaranteed!

Do you have an indoor place to fly?

"Easiest hovering plane you have ever flown. Guaranteed!"

wgeffon, Do you think this is because of the design, or the fact that there is no wind indoors?

I do notice that when I fly in dead calm conditions (5:30 am), my wasp hovers almost hands off, but I have to work alot harder, with wind, even if it is only a slight breeze.

The wingspan is about 36" or pretty close to that ....I'm at work soI cant measure....the tail surfaces and ailerons are maybe 3/16 thick..the covering is that Nelson Film that Wayne was talking about...called So-Lite and it is the "BOMB". I started out useing Black Baron lo temp covering and its got to be twice as heavy and it warped the crap outta my wing when i put it on. Had to recover the wing with the nelson film ...was gonna do a checkerboard on bottom but decided to to stay lite
I'll take some pics of the TE of the wing...thats where i got the concave TE looks kinda weird but its gonna work.
Many thanks to wgeffon and THE KAT for there valued advice, pics and tips. I'll be glad to furnish anybody with more pics and info on this bird.
I think I can probably find a place to fly indoors, but if I cant I'll test fly in my front yard or go to a field close by

:stupid: bigbigjoe... was educated in the FLORIDA school system.....we have a habit of not being able to count<GRIN>. ....Gator

Gator,

Check out the 3M clear tape at Walmart. But, it might not be wide enough for your purposes.

BTW, I did notice that you didn't "jump" at the chance to let me fly your plane!

Cameron,

Definately the design. I flew it outside and it was just as easy to hover in a little bit of wind.

LOLROTF!!!

Thanks Gator. And of course you know you are welcome to fly anything I've got too (with the same conditions of course)!

Seriously,

I'd really like to see what this bird can do. I've been kicking around the idea of the Radical Edge 540 until I saw you mention this plane. So I'm really curious as to what you think.

I've got a Miniflash which as soon as I get room on the board is headed that way. It's suppose to be 3D capable as well, but it is not a profile.

Thanks Billy, I forgot about the strapping tape for hinges. Works like a charm. I've used it on my Zagi and its still going strong.

I thinkI'm gonna heat up the iron and see what it will do to this tape I got on there...I think I'll be ready Monday. Here is a pic of the gap I got on the hinge line of the ailerons...I did this by trying to use the Black baron film(big mistake)....G
