if the magnum 80 is like the satio 80 its the 90 size case. the 72 is the 60 size case witch is the smaller. But yes the 72 is way too much power. But i find that it is perfect.

My hints on the OMP Edge:

1 - Use Dubro or CF gear
2 - A steerable tailwheel is a good idea. I included a pic of mine. It started out as a Dubro tailwheel and is lighter than the skid.
3 - An 8 oz Dubro tank will fit. Just put it on sideways with the "lip" away from the fuse.
4 - Consider a TT .46 Pro for power. Cheap and reliable and it hovers at less than half throttle.
5 - For a two-stroke, the macs tuned muffler works great and is a couple ounces lighter than the stock muffler.

6 - I didn't do it for mine, but dual mini servos on the elevator halves is a good idea. I hate wire joiners. They never seem to be exactly right.

Im using du-bro stuff. Yea I may consider a .46 cuz I dont want to spend 200 bux on an engine. Im using an 8oz sullivan, i think it will fit.

Default Building OMP edge 540(small). Any tips?

hey guys, I'm looking to get a profile and I think this is the one. I really hate to buy a new engine when I have a good Magnum .40 XL on hand. Would this work ok for this plane? Would it hover?

Well guys I flew mine today for the first time and all I can say is Thank you OMP this thing rocks..... I have a Moki 1.80 on it has good vertical but I think a 2.10 would be just perfect.
For you guys going gas go for it I think this thing would fly good with a V-8 chevy on it. You really have to make it land.
It just wants to keep flying!

Good luck all,

Matt

I flew mine with a rossi .40. It flys and hovers good. Not a ton of pull out but enough to get you out of trouble.

I thought we were talking about the little one?
