P.B.F. ONLY Funfly event
We are in the first planning stages of our first (ALL PBF FUNFLY EVENT) here in Sacramento,Ca. We are shooting for the beginning of Aug. and so far we estimate over 200 airplanes will show. 
This thread can and should be used for local and distant PBF flyers to tell us whussssup with your PBF and the up's and downs of flying yours. I'll start by saying that today at Mather when we were doing some FULL-ON combat, someone with the intinals T.B. flew threw mine and left me with a 10in hole in the middle
But that's the breaks, and also you know I can get more, LOL...... BENDER

Ok Shortman, you need to introduce me to your friends.....First what is a PBF. next how much for an ARF? Please keep in mind I will be driving over 400 miles one way to sac-o-tomato, and would like to see what this PBF is before I drop 100.00 on gas plus the cost of the plane. Could someone post a few pictures?

a PBF is a pizza box flyer. there made from all chloroplasts (those advertising signs you see sometimes) and 1 main plywood stick to support it. You have a rudder and aileron/elevator combined.
If you do a search you can find many pictures of these PBFs. They are great for hovering around and just plain fun. I think you can get them for like $100-200 depending on what servos and engine you use. A 40la would work fine on these little planes (boxes)

I am seriously giving it some thought. Its only about 400 mile drive up there. Just bring a few extra to the field, and I will grab a bunch of electronics and my radio. I am sure when it gets closer someone will post directions, or have a flyer.

If anyone wants one, Please e-mail me and let me know in advance and I can build it custom to order (ready-to-fly) for an additional $50.00. If anyone will be attending the "rally of the giants" at Castle AFB, I will have a both there, selling PBF's . BENDER
