Profile Plans
 

I am interrested in building my own profile plane in the .46 range (around 48"w.s.). Have not been able to find any plans for any profile planes. Any help in connecting with a web page that details such plans would be appreciated. Not interrested in foam. Ony lite ply and balsa. Many thanks.

Probably the best place to start is at swanyshouse.com and get a MoJo or Primo 40 kit. Comes with plans and balsa.
Not too expensive and these are excellent and proven designs.

mmiller1, the people who have done designs generally do not release scratch build plans. You would need to find plans and then somehow get the rib patterns.

With a Saito 100, mine is just at 6lbs. dry.

Wing Span: 55"
Weight: 6 - 6.5 lbs
Wing Area: 1000 Sq. In.
Wing Load: 14 - 15 Oz / sq. ft.
Power: 100 - 125 4 stroke or 75 - 90 2 stroke
Radio Gear: 4 - 5 Channel Radio, 5 servos, 90+ oz/in torque

My Primo came out to 7.2lbs. Ws of 55". Wing area 1000sq,inch's.
It is a blast. Will go slow enough to walk beside. Or vertical till the cows come home.

Search the net for a RC profile website with forums (brotherhood). There you shall find some excellent profile plans</p>

Find anything yet? If not have a search for a 'Morris Mustang' or a 'Morris Knife'. I build the mustang and flew it until it fell apart in mid air one day. Bags of fun.
