balsa nova 1.20

does anyone have one of these and can tell me if the wing is detachable. also what engine people use on them. i have an enya 1.20 that needs a home so i'm hoping that would be it. thanks for any info.

The wing is one piece mounted to the fus with 4 bolts. Enya 120 should be fine. I got an ST2300 in mine . See Avatar

RE: balsa nova 1.20

I'm building one now, but the one-piece wing is "too much", so I'm building it as a two piece wing with a wing tube. This has taken a lot of "re-engineering" to put plywood doublers on the inboard ribs and beef up the spars. May add a little extra weight, but I think it's worth the mods.
The plane is ultra-light anyway, and I'm using an Enya 120 4 stroke for power. Wish I had the new Enya 150 in the same case - but "Que sera".

thanks for the info i may go ahead and order one. did you guys build the 72" or 80" wing?

RE: balsa nova 1.20

I built the 72. The 80 reguired too much sheeting and spar splicing to suit me. The extra ribs required do come with the kit and there is enough wood.
