morris Pull-Pull ?
Hey guys, need some help here. I've never had to use pull-pull cables before. I'm making progress on my Sledge and just the hardware package from morris. Can someome explain to me how I make the pull pull wire secure without it being able to slip and create slop? Pics would be nice too. Thanks

Here's my servo end
http://www.pan-tex.net/usr/w/jwillia...ledgeWheel.jpg I can't find the pic of the tail end. right off... |
RE: morris Pull-Pull ?
On the tail end I used the 2-56 rigging couplers and metal clevises that came with the kit. The rigging coupler is a piece of 2-56 thread with a hole drilled thru it. I think my Sledge had the rigging couplers, clevises, cables, and cable crimps all in it.
I can get a pic up when I get home if you still need it. |
RE: morris Pull-Pull ?
all right I got it. What else can be used as a cable crimp. The ones I have are too small and only allow the the cable to go through one time. I can't get the wire to cram back in to crimp it shut.

RE: morris Pull-Pull ?
I use Berkley fishing line crimps. They come in different sizes.

RE: morris Pull-Pull ?
Got all the linkages done. I had some left over brass tubing from another project that worked perfectly for crimps. All that's left to do now is put the motor on and HANG on.
