Got any tips/things to watch out for on the OMP Edge kit?

Make you tunnel for the wire wide.

I saw a omp edge with a side hatch on the fuse for the wires, looked sweet.

I cut the servo extensions in two, hooked the end to the servos, and soldered some servo wire to that, left the RX end of the extension off. After I had the wing on, pulled the wires, cut them to length, and soldered the RX end on. Probably can't get them back out, but I have enough slack to get to the servo end if I need to replace the servos.

I would add some balsa to the framework around the cockpit
because this is where you hold and pick up the plane and without some extra support I tend to crush this area, other than that this plane is definitely one wild ride!!

I ended up making a hatch where the wires bend around the corner. Just too tight to get all the extension sockets through.

Like the others have said, the wire tunnel is not wide enough. I removed the outer part of the extension connector and used dental floss to keep them together. Used a piece of music wire to pull the extensions through. Also as previously mentioned, add more bracing underneath the sheeting in the cockpit area so that you don't crush it when you pick it up, or grab it from a hover.;) Do not cut the LE in the fuse to a sharp point as shown on the plans. I did and have a slight gap. They tell you to add material for the landing gear area and that it is not included. Since I have had others that crushed the wood in that area I used maple stock and it seems to be holding up very well. Landing gear are the "Krazy Legs" type. These were the only areas that I thought could use some attention.

I actually didnt have any trouble withthe tunnel. I just used a piece of cable and pulled each one through 1 at a time. They came thru fine..Definitely add the extra support around the cockpit. Ditch the wire gear and get a set of Krazy legs also.

The trick to getting the wires through is staggering the connectors so they don't overlap. Wrap some masking tape around the wires and connectors so there isn't any sharp corners to snag and they should pull right through. Really, I've done about 12 of these and never had any problem doing it this way. You do have to make sure the hole in the back of the wing is big enough and matched the tunnel.

It took me 45 minutes to get those wires through. Tip. cut a long oval about 1/4" by 1" for the connectors to pass thru, any less and the extension will never make it through the fuse opening, Also pull 1 thru at a time. Put string in the tube early and use some string to wrap thru the wires on the connectors where they butt together and knot them tight. Make the tunnel entry at the back of the wing as wide as possible. Thats where all my problems were
