How thick are the Fusalages on your .46 profile planes? And what wood are you using?

well mot proflies are made of built up balsa and hard wood stisks (1/4 avarage) and sometimes plated with 1/16 balsa for strength.

the current trend is toward thicker fuses, i like mine built with 3/8" balsa sticks, with at least 1 hardwood stick (1/8" x 3/8", laminated to balsa) running the length of the fuse. then you can sheet the entire thing with 1/16" balsa and reinforce the nose with 1/16" ply. you can see my way on my site, under the "Truth" page, i only sheet the fuse like you would a d-tube wing(edges and capstrips). i got lots of construction pics in there, here is one of my newer ones.http://carusotech.50megs.com/images/truth3.jpg
