Got the plans back from the printers and they turned out awesome. I will have them at the Wigwam this Sunday or you can email me at [email protected] if interested. Here is the best part, the printing cost was less than I anticipated, so the full size plans will only be $8 in person and $10 if I have to ship them to you. These plans are full size, no more taping legal size paper together. The instructions are on the plans also. Right now I have 10 sets each of the Yak, Extra and E Sledge.

Mavrick, I am not familiar with the Hacker motors. I saw one about a year ago so I cannot say they would mount easily, but with some time I am sure you could mount any motor to these planes. I got two planes going to the airbrush guy tomorrow, 1 extra in the 2002 TOC McConnville scheme and a yak with a personalized scheme. The Yak will sport the caricature below with some other stuff, and we all remember the 2002 McConnville scheme. JW

Hey Jeff I got the plans for all three and they look awesome. I will be getting some Depron and probably run a production of at least two of each when We get settled a little. Looking forward to it.

That is my Yak that's getting the cartoon paint job. Can't wait to see it.

Jeff, I ordered the Sledge short kit from Morris today. That will work great for my project. I did not see the short kits listed on their website. Thanks for the heads up.

Hmm...my Yak is goign to be sick form Jeff..not telling the scheme, but how can I mount my Hacker B20 12L +4:1 on this plane..seems near impossible. I'm thinkng about a light piece of balsa and zip tying the motor to it:

Does this make any sense and it would be glued onto the side of the plane:The motor on either the bottom or left side of the wood piece to make sure it balances laterally :D

Mav-

See if you can find some pics of a Hicks Tribute motor mount. They use zip ties around the mounting stick, but one important element is a screw with a washer on the front end of the stick that protrudes just below the edge of it to keep the motor from sliding forward.

Here is the finished product with the Yak cartoon. Flew it for the first time a few minutes ago. It is really too windy, but I could not wait any longer. Everyting seems to be working fine. Hope the wind dies down this afternoon.

Eric

The photo showing the side is too dark. I'll try to get a better one this afternoon.

Very cool! You'll really like how it flies once the wind dies down! ;)

Yeah, any wind at all and these things get to be more of a handful than they are fun. But, in a calm wind you just could not have much more fun. Eric, be sure to show that lightning on the bottom. Jeff W.

Here is the bottom. Got to fly it some late this afternoon. Can already tell that a order for another one will be placed soon. Going to take it to work tomorrow and fly at lunch.
