Looking for plane

When I was a kid I had one plane that I really enjoyed flying. I would like to pick one of these up again to mess around with at smaller fields. It basically consisted of a an engine(.25) with wings, and a carbon tailboom to the tailfeathers. "Barn door" control surfaces. I'm looking for something similar in the 40-60 size. I can't seem to find anything like this in the online stores. Not really interested in a profile as they don't remind me of my youth :p Prefer a kit. Thanks for any info.

try doing a search for "STIK-IT" or "YARD-DART", to find more info on these boom planes. Jeff Gilbert also use't to make some of these kits too but I cant recall the names of them. I know you said you dont want a profile, but look into Paul Swanys "BURRITO", it is built useing some of the same building style with a carbon fiber boom

Sounds like a "swizzle stick that one of the older guys in our club had......just enough fuse to stuff your radio and servos in, and a tail boom .

RE: Looking for plane

Thanks Termagator, that helped a lot I found several links with similar type aircraft.

It looked something like this, pretty sure that tower used to sell them. Anybody know of anything like this for 60 2-stroke? Got a heli engine that needs a plane.
