West Coast ProBro needs help!
Ok guys,
I have an OMP 80" Edge, I have been flying it on a MVVS 2.15 gasser. I have done all the diagnostics on the ignition and still dead in the water after replacing the sensor. It sparks when you cycle the power on and off, but after replacing the sensor I still get no spark. Any suggestions? I have been through everything my little 3D brain can figure and have drawn a blank. Mike you have any ideas? I don’t want to have to go back to glow on it because this MVVS is soooooooooo much fun. Buy the way it is the old silver head motor, with the euro ignition, and Morris doesn’t have a box to replace mine with. The G-Man P.S. Mike you were right when you told me it would be more fun than my scale fuses. I will pick up one of the new ones next time I come out since I have an extra 3.2 FOX laying here. If the big one is as fun as the 80” I will have to come and fly with you next time I come out to the FOX plant. |
RE: West Coast ProBro needs help!
I had a MVVS 2.15 with the old round film can ignition that went bad. It would run greta, and then all of a sudden die. I chased "carb problems" for a while before switching with someone else's ignition, to find out mine was intermittent. Morris hobbies was able to send me a new igniton with a new prop drive, (magnents were different), and that completely solved the problem. It was a great running motor from then on. I think the cost was about 150 bucks for the new ignition, and prop drive. I did have to wait for a while as it was ordered, as morris didn't have it in stock, but they did get it eventually.
