TOPCAP ARF problem

Someone please tell me I'm not the only one with this problem!!
I glued in my horiz. stab into the pre-cut hole per the directions and now the elevator won't fit in the remaining hole!! No reference to this in the instructions at all (maybe because half way through the directions are fro the Knife!!)
I called Morris (big mistake) - they said to cut a bigger hole!!

OOOPS!

I think you were supposed to slide the elevator in with the horizonal stab, then glue. You are right, no mention in the instructions. It isn't a huge problem though, you should be able to do some cutting and get it to fit.

TOPCAP ARF problem

Seems like you always learn something on every airplane. I have an ARF Top Cap that I will need to remember this little tid bit so I don't do the same thing. I built my other TC about 3 years ago and love it, you will enjoy this plane for sure.

You should really enjoy this one. It flies like it's very light on it's feet and hovers great.

TOPCAP ARF problem

I did the exact thing, just cut the slot all the way to the back of the fuse, take out the piece, and use it over, DONT DREMEL IT AWAY. Good luck, great plane!

TOPCAP ARF problem

I almost did the same thing........but I caught it right before I glued it. Should be an easy fix. I had my solo flight with mine today. Powered it with a surpass 70....all I can say is WOW !!! Not much impresses me...this did, Enjoy
Brian

P.S. I see you are from boston...where do you fly ???

I was forewarned

I put the elevator in first , turned it 90* then installed the stabilizer. I installed the hinges after. I would have done the same thing if not warned. Its a great plane , I put a Saito 91 on mine and I fly at such low throttle settings it flies foreverbetween refueling.
