OMP Yak 54 and Saito 100...need some advice

I'm really impressed with the 65" Yak videos, and I am going to order up one of those suckers! I am wondering if my Saito 100 will have enough "oomph" to do the job, or if I need more?

Haven't run the Saito 100 but I know they don't compare to the YS engine of the same size. But of course that comes at a price of higher nitro fuel too! I would ask the question "what prop and rpm does the Saito 100 turn up? If you can turn a 16-4 around 9000 or more then you're in business.

I have one with a Saito 100, and it's plenty of motor.
At 7lb3oz AUW, it smartly pulls out of hover. Not ballistic, but more than enough.

Yes the 100 will be a great combo. I use a 16X4W APC. 9200 RPM. It has plenty of power to pull out of a hover. I have my battery in the back of the wingand and fly with an aft CG. You're really going to like this combo. Steady as a rock. send me a PM with your e-mail and I'll send you a vid of the combo.
