Balsa nova from Morris Hobbies

Dose any one reccomend this, Is it 3D capable. I am a bit worried cause it has small control surfaces will that make a difference.

Thanks Matt

I've got the ARF BalsaNova and it isn't a good 3d plane.

A friend of mine 'had' one. He put bigger ailerons on it, but I am not sure about the tail. I think he left the tail alone. It didn't have a lot of authority, but it did fly rather well.

I had Balsa Nove and Super Hots, neither are real 3D planes, rather fun fliers.

Get the Top Cap or Knife. Top Cap is my fav of Morris, it's a 3D machine.

I had a Morris the Knife and currently fly a Topcap and Sudokhoi (all ARFs). The MtK is a great 3D "trainer". It's got more wing area (plus the wing is of constant cord variety) which makes the plane nearly stall proof (it does stall but only dips the nose and recovers within a feet or two). I flew the cr*p outta mine learning the ways of the hover ;) Had a MVVS 40 in in to begin with, power was adequate, but the plane really came into it's own when I stuck a TT 46 Pro with MCP on it. I eventually sold the Knife and moved onto the Topcap. Great 3D'er. Can do much more than hover. I have noticed that due to the rudder being about 6-8 inches behind where other profiles have their rudders, rudder response is a little slower (but still has excellent authority since you can crank it more because the elevators aren't in the way), and it spins just a tad slower. I recently put together a Sudokhoi. I made it wildly tail heavy and in spite of this it's survived it's maiden. Quickly becoming my favorite profile. May be the way I've set up the plane (doesn't really fly level, it prefers to harrier ;) ), but it's got absolutely no coupling in KE.
