Has any one tried either one of these? Not bad looking and the price is decent too.

The only thing that doesn't look too good, is that the top motor mount area is kind of close the edge. I wonder about strenght?

He said he would ship it today. I should have it by the weekend.
easy enough to scab some wood into the engine mount if it looks weak. I'll let you know what I think, next week or so. |

RE: 2 profiles
Got the box UPS after I left the office yesterday.
Single boxed! Yea, one thin box, but it made it in good shape. Here are the specs from Atalanta Hobby web site; Specifications Wing Span: 61 in / 1550 mm Wing Area: 1006sq in / 64.9 sq dm Flying Weight: 5.7 lbs /2600 g Fuselage Length: 56.5 in /1435 mm Engine Required: 2c 0.60 cu in, 4c 0.70 cu in Empty weight 2.3 Pounds Mojo 60" is 1000 sq in, so this is similar in size. The wing is straight - no taper any direction. All the control surfaces are very small. This is going to be the downfall of this plane. If it lives to mid summer and flys decent at all I may build new surfaces. For now I'm gonna use all the stock parts. I'll let you know as it comes together. |
