Webra .32 with mousse can?

I just bought a new Webra .32, and was wondering what is the average distance from the cylinder to the front of the can? Also what size can works best with the Webra .32? Tom

trial and error

someone correct me if i'm wrong here but i think you will have to first make your mc exhaust and mount it.
When you ask what size can.... you're asking a tough question. the answer to that question should actually be the size of the volume inside the can and not the size according to the label of the original product. ( have you ever noticed to the actual amount of potato chips in its bag against the volume of cubic feet in the bag?)Different products leave different amounts of air space in their products.
once you have made the mc exhaust and selected your prop, you're going to have to tune it all together. Do this by removing 1\2 inch sections of the header at a time. tach it each time untill the rpm's start to drop off. then you know you have passed the peak. now make up the last 1/2 removed with the silicone coupler and you are finished.
when I was at the nationals last summer in Sayer PA one thing I noticed for sure is that everyone used diffent looking MC exhausts.

Webra with M/C

When I ask which size can I wanted to know diameter+length, not the volume of the contents. As for the distance from the cylinder to the front of the can I just wanted to know what other people have found to work so I have a good starting place. I've been running mousse cans for years, but on nothing smaller than a .40. Tom

Ronson Butane Lighter can

Hey, I used a ronson butane lighter can for mine. the small can is about 5-6 inches long and about 1 inch in diameter. I gained about 1200- 1500 rpms with APC 9-4 prop.
Hope this helps.

On my 32 to 36 size engines, I've been using a 1.5" can that is 5.5" long.

Ronson

Yep, Ronson butane can works good, about 10 cubes in volume. As for the length of the header, Bugs is right, I wouldn't just whack it off at any particular length unless you don't really care about RRrrr's. It depends on prop, fuel, etc. Length and diameter are not as important as volume I guess. At least thats the only way I can think of to explain Dub Jett's in cowl muffler, which is pretty much an overgrown tuna fish can but puts out some pretty impressive numbers. (sorry about the tuna remark Dub)

Webra .32 with mousse can?

Here is a discription of aproximate header length off the Macs products web site for tuning a Os 32. 3.5 inches from the outside header mounting plate.
I my self would start at 4" and cut down to it to see if I get any increase.

OS Max 32F ABC Zinger 9 X 6 3.5mp 14,700-15,150rpm 3.5"
